Hello Everyone,

It's been so long that I disappeared, but I hope some of you still remember me. I have finally arrived in the US with my husband a few days ago. Moving to live is not a simple move for me, so this is one of the reasons why I haven't got online lately. I am so happy for all our VJ family with the flood of approvals, though some still awaiting for their Visa. I wish all the week 3 interviewees all the best.

Best Wishes,

Tharnsur & BB

PS. FYI, this is BB. I'm using my hubby's ID :)

Welcome to the US!! And welcome back! Glad things are going will for you!

Hey Everyone! I just logged on to let you guys know the not so great yet not so bad news...Hubby has to do a I-160 waiver, I have to do a hardship letter, and my mom needs to fill out a I-864a form. I've done all of that and I'll be sending it back to the Embassy in Barbados on Monday. The consular said it shouldn't take more than 2 months. She seemed confident that he the waiver would get approved.

Other than that, everything went well. We got to spend lots of time together and we got to feel what it's like to be a real family...physically together.

Week Three:

(05/17/2010) Bobobo -- Approved!

(05/18/2010) WaitingforHubby

(05/18/2010) Life2live

(05/18/2010) Kevin-n-Merlaine -- Approved!

(05/19/2010) DoctorM -- Approved!

(05/20/2010) Malka e Alia

(05/20/2010) MSPtoYYZ -- Not Approved (Yet) :(

I think life2live canceled his profile on VJ. I can't find it anywhere.....

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone that did get approved. It's just gonna take us a couple of months longer.

poe at iah, houstton texas - may 20, 2010

very easy going. there wasnt much lines. the io collected my passport, brown cover checked them in his system - finger scans again and photograph. then he gave all my documents, pp to another io who took me to hall where there were around 20 people. here i had to wait for 15 mins when my name was called out and the io here took my right index finger print and signature on a document and i was handed back my passport with the endorsement stamp this along with the visa will serve as a temp i551 evidencing residence for 1 year. i was also told that i could leave the u.s. and come back anytime and this would serve as a temp gc for 1 year.

and by the way, they do not care much about the xrays.

another point here, we do not have to fill in any form they hand you out on the flight except the customs decl. form. as the i94 is for visitors and it clearly says us citizens, returning resi aliens, aliens with immigrant visas, and canadian citizens need not fill this forms. when i asked the cabin crew on the flight, they were a bit confused. but the ios did not ask for this form, just the pps and the brown covers - and i am writing this because i had seen a post on vj asking about this.

i couldnt sleep probably jet lag so i decided to check out the progress on this topic and also relate my exp at the poe. all the best to tatyana and kirthiraj and to all going in for the interviews next.

Thank you!!!

Hi Guys,

2 Days to my interview.....so excited and nervous....do pray for me guys.....

Raj

Best of luck to you!!!

yesterday i had an interview in islamabad embassy .i was sure that i will go through Ap but i was wrong.my interview was only 2 mins long and was asked only 3 questions

who has filed for you?

what she is doing ?

tell me the names of her firends......thats it

i was shocked when she said that you will get your passport back in 7 to 14 days.

Ya Ali Maddad

YAY! Congrads!!!!

Well the courier delivered Merlaine's visa today :)

I know!! God I'm so glad that nonsense is over  It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't such a long wait for EVERY STINKING STEP in the process. It's like watching a great tv show then seeing "to be continued"...pisses me off!! 30 minutes to look at your I-130, 2-3 days for a background check, 2-3 days for NVC to receive it, 30 minutes to look at the I-130 and assign a case number, took 2 minutes to pay the fees online, 2 minutes to enter the DS-3032 into their computer, 2-3 days to receive and look over the I-864 and DS-230, 30 seconds to schedule and appointment, week tops to get the info overseas, 2 days for medical, took 5 minutes for the interview, hand over the visa and done. That's 11 days, 1 hour and 39 minutes..NOT 7 FREAKING MONTHS!!

I like it!
