when you get your biometrics letter in the mail, set up an infopass at your local office and go in to do it. You will need the biometrics letter and your receipt (NOA1) from filing the AOS plus passport for ID.

I would NOT recommend doing this before you get the biometrics letter and this procedure will usually speed the process a couple of weeks from when they had scheduled the biometrics appoitment

Actually, you don't need an infopass appointment. You just go to the ASC that is listed on your letter and most centers just allow you to walk in and do it as long as you have your letter with you, your GC and DL.

Wrong,

Biometrics is NOT done at the same location as an INFOPASS... INFOPASS is done at the USCIS field office and biometrics is done at the Application Support Center (ASC). In many situations they are not even remotely close to each other. In the Twin Cities area, the USCIS field office and the ASC office are about 15 miles apart....

Yes. That is why I said "NOA1 from the AOS" as opposed to "NOA1 from the petition"

Not wrong. But perhaps I will stand "qualified" Biometrics are most definitely done at the local office in St. Albans VT. My entire family of three immigrants has had their biometrics done there.

I suppose saying "check with local procedures" is in order.
