Thanks. There are a number of references to the nvcguangzhou@state.gov email address. They should probably all be changed in the Wiki.

This is cool Electronic Processing at NVC. Applicants who are applying for a visa process electronically is it for all US embassiess? are eligible to participate. OR the option to participate is initially limited to visa applicants who are applying for a visa at the U.S. Embassies in Guangzhou, China and Montreal, Canada? only?

Hi, I am currently in Singapore with my husband!

I know Singapore is not on the electronic processing eligibility list, but does that mean I cannot send my DS-3032 in via email? I would like to do my "sending back and forth" via email preferably, to save on air-mail time. What are the steps to save time? How much of this can be done via email?

We are so clueless on this, please help!!

Thanks so much!

Sorry, no NVC Electronic Processing for Singapore.

The good news, though, is that Singapore is MONDO FAST - the timetick between 'NVC OUT' and 'Singapore IV Unit open casefile' is between 2 to 5 weeks.

If you want speed at NVC, study (hard!) http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

General NVC Stuff:

Just to confirm, the electronic process is different from email right? SO even though Singapore is not eligible, we can still enable our emails and have documents sent via email right?

Just to confirm, the electronic process is different from email right? SO even though Singapore is not eligible, we can still enable our emails and have documents sent via email right? the majority of ppl here on VJ do not wait on anything to be emailed to them. There is a 'ds-3032 kit' that is emailed, but really, the only thing you want from this 'kit' is the AOS FEE BILL, so that you can pay online

Thanks for your help, when we arrive in the US I will cook some laksa and invite you and your spouse over! Lol.

No, is impossible to find decent cockerels (I KNOW, I LOOKED)

I am a laksa fiend, it was important to find them, none here. (Curry Laksa is not the same, without the cockerels)

If you didn't want to read the links I listed in yer first post here, could you, at least, read this one? --> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467 That should shave you some time for processing.

If your primary concern is 'I'm in Singapore whilst doing NVC processing, what to do?' then that's a different matter altogether, lah.

Is possible to 'do all' from Singapore, but you'll need to use THE TELEPHONE (to get the AOS FEE BILL in yer email) and the ONLINE PAYMENT PORTAL (not only to pay, but for active status of what to do next) . FWIW, is OK to send the I-864 and the DS-230 together in one postal /courier packet, just wait until the DS-230 is marked 'paid' on the online payment portal.

Now, we've gone past the scope of this topic, veered a bit. Suggest you make new topic in the I-130 /CR-1 forum, cover yer issues there..

Good Luck, and GodSpeed !

INSTEAD OF (NVCGuangzhou@state.gov)

My friend had sent the I-864 & DS-230 emails to NVCElectronic@state.gov, I guess this is why there is no response.

The email that he received from the OPT IN said to send all correspondence to this email address.

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) has received your correspondence indicating that the applicant listed below wishes to participate in the electronic processing of their Immigrant Visa Application at the Consulate in Guangzhou, China.

All further communication with the NVC will now be done through this email address: NVCElectronic@state.gov.

All documents and forms that we request and require from you should be scanned copies of the originals. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the consular officer at the visa interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

This correspondence is also to notify you that the applicant's case number has changed. The new case number starts with GZO (instead of GUZ) and is followed by a new set of ten numbers. This change was made to identify the case for both the NVC and the Consulate in Guangzhou as participating in electronic processing.

Please reference the below listed case number for all future correspondence with the NVC and the Consulate in Guangzhou.

Hey - that's great, Dan !! At this point, this timetick of 'Casefile Converted to GZO #' - it's time to send off the I-864 and DS-230 sets (if the fee bills have already been paid at NVC online payment portal). Don't forget that ugly GUZ P3 Supplemental form - several folk have gotten dinged with an RFE for not sending this form WITH the DS-230 set.

Typically, there is NO RESPONSE from NVC about 'receipt of email set' for NVC Electronic Processing. It can feel like yer transmitting into a black hole, at times.

It kinda sucks that Guangzhou-bound casefiles must WAIT for this GZO casefile conversion, but I like the flipside - NO waiting between 'NVC OUT' to 'GUZ Opened Casefile' ;)

FWIW, NVC has slowed down since 1 March, even affecting EP cases - so if anything seems wonky or delayed, tell yer friend to CALL IN to NVC, get a Human, then ask for a supervisor.

Suggest to your friend, to read this --> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/251451-uscis-nvc/
