I was just thinking this past week, that someone should be doing some "extra work" since NVC is so overloaded. Hopefully they got the same idea and put some employees to work a little bit more.

I'm guilty too of getting mad at hubby at times or more like stressed out & drag him along when he deals with this process more calmly then me or at least it seems like that at times.

Tokyo, Why are you translating? Once documents get to the NVC stage, if they're in English or the official language of the country your petition is going to (for you, Japan), then they don't need to be translated. Unless Tokyo is different for some odd reason...

Newcomers, Welcome and congratulations on your approvals! I hope your journey through NVC flies by as quickly and smoothly as your trip through USCIS did. (Approvals in two months... WTH?! Lucky sons a'... )

The land of Cape Cods and dancing was great. I sent the DS-230 today. I couldn't wait. I have, however, decided not to call the AVR until Friday.

Has anyone been back to New Orleans since Katrina? We've decided against driving to LA (Eff passing through CBP with two minor LPRs) and have decided on the other LA instead.

Today, Husby asked "Why don't we have an interview yet? Didn't you do it right?" Grr!!! Child!! Don't play like that! On the upside, we've decided on a date for the wedding. September 18th. So, rather than meeting up in Vegas, you're all invited to take a wonderful vacation to Thailand to enjoy a traditional wedding and tour the country.

Kari - Congrat on the wedding:) I'm sure it's going to be beautiful. Iif i'm in Thailand during that time I'll definitely try to attend your wedding. My last trip to Thailand was in 2007. It was great then but I've heard a lot of stuff that make me think twice about going there now. I definitely don't want to get stuck at the airport due to political unrest:(

Looks like the NVC is catching up. I see some CC/LIFs.

I hope I can get everything in soon and get my CC/LIF. However, I am happy with a May interview. I do have the option to request an earlier interview once they assign a date.

Well, good luck everyone. Next week will be magical; there will be a lot of CC/LIFs to come.
