I need some good information from others. My step daughters I130 was approved and is now at NVC. Today I just received an email from NVC for the AOS and IV Bill. I was told by an attorney that my stepdaughter must fill out the DS3032 Choice of Agent form and mail it to me so I can send the original (with signature) to them before they will take any next steps at NVC. I thought I read about others being able to send an email with all information such as Case # and Invoice ID # listed being accepted by NVC. If this is true, then do I send the email for her myself or does she have to do this? It would certainly save time rather than waiting for her to send me the from from her country. Thanks for your help VJ's.

We are somewhat dealing with 2 different things so I may be wrong. But I have an attorney also & I never even seen the DS3032 form. As far as I know attorney completes that for you or your step-daughter.

Yep! She can. First either she or the petitioner needs to call NVC and give them the email addresses. Then the beneficiary can send in the email. There is a template here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form. Be sure to follow all instructions and in fact, read the entire LingChe's shortcuts document. It is incredibly helpful! My husband and I did the DS3032 this way and we had no problems.

Congratulations Ahmed and Tatyana. MQ hang in there! I'm glad your husband is safe!!

If you're using a lawyer, then IMO, you bypass the DS3032. Your lawyer is automatically designated as the agent.

In this case though, it sounds like a lawyer advised you, so I'm guessing you haven't actually retained him.

DS3032s can be emailed using the VJ guide letter format from the beneficiary's email address.

If it's a minor child, then the parent can do it/sign it for them.

Actually, no. If you filed the I-130 using a lawyer, then he/she will automatically be designated as the agent at the NVC stage.

The AOS/IV bills will arrive together. The DS3032 is not mailed along with the AOS fee link.

I am curious.. you have said that if Thansur doesnt recieve an email with the interview date to email the embassy... is this correct? I thought that I would call the NVC <LOL> in the later part of next week to see if they would tell me.. but is it the Embassy that I should be contacting instead?

It might appear that NVC is the one scheduling the interviews and they DO but ONLY after the local embassy has received the packet from NVC. With a little research on VJ you will see that you can track shipments from NVC to your local embassy. In my case, I was able to track shipment with 100% accuracy. Once you have tracked receipt of your case from NVC to embassy, you can contact the embassy as to the status of your case, and/or appt. time.

In any case, it appears Thansur's packet arrived at the embassy on 15 March, thus he should contact them to confirm that they have received everything and if there is an interview time set.

VJ friends,

I can't stress enough that the most important thing in this process is your email address. Make sure you provide nvc with your correct email and make sure they have the correct email in thier system. The only problem I experienced with NVC was related to email and was quickly resolved.

For our anxious friends, it is taking NVC about 5 business days to enter into computer whatever you send to them. No need to call until at least 5 business days has past. Basically give nvc 5 business days to enter into system; give them 5 more business days to review what you send; give it two days to show up in AVR.

I've only had to call nvc one time throughout the entire process. Everything was done through web/email. From the time I mailed my i 864 to getting an interview date took less than 30 days.

After reading what some of you have gone through, it's clearer than ever that if you go by the AVR system the most delay you will experience is 1 or 2 days. However, if you go by what the operator says ( and many of you are seeing it first hand ) your case could be delayed a week or more. As I have stressed many many times, the operator can provide the most up to date status, HOWEVER, your status could change one hour later due to management review, RFE, verification and translation process, etc..etc.. If it's in the AVR you know it's final. If you get a sign in failure you know your case is complete. If you receive an email you know the instructions are important.

Bottom line is, make sure you give them your correct emails. If your email has a ZERO or O in it, call to verify that they have the correct one, or give them one that doesn't use ZERO or O. My wife's email had an O in it and we didn't receive email until I called to confirm.

LAST, when you send things to NVC please ensure they are clean and organized with case number written on top right corner. Adjudicators are human beings just like us and they will nitpick messy paperwork because it's a sign of carelessness of detail or relationship. Let's face it freinds, the first impression is important and your first impression to NVC is how organize your paperwork is.

Thansur, I would have thought that your interview email had arrived by now. If you don't receive one by Monday morning U.S. time, I would email the pp embassy to confirm that they had received everything and ask when you can expect to receive an interview date.

wow! this is very informative. I was planning to call the NVC everyday but now im not.

I have to wait after 5 days.

Thank you

Ok, so Mr. Sachinky spoke to a manager. He said everything was ok, no new problems. Still being processed. My husband asked him if we were in AP/AR for some random reason. He said no, because then it is flagged in the system as such. The guy was nice enough, he told him that because the different offices are run very differently, that if we sent in two packages, it's more likely that the people in his office started processing the one they got first. He wasn't sure which one that was, because sometimes the other office that processes the AOS is in his words are "mentally slow" and takes them forever to send over other packages. It could have been they got the actual RFE before the first RFE we sent. He also said that if we ever have a problem with poor customer service with any representative, to ask for a supervisor because he told him that I was too scared to call because I had had a bad experience. He said that if they don't put you through to a supervisor ask for their name and 6 digit cumoster representative ID number. He said that honestly, sometimes banking RFEs take a little longer, all AOS RFEs take longer.

So I guess we wait some more.

the second time i called the NVC . The Rude operator answered me . I was really scared and wanted to hung up. He yelling at me because he didnt hear me good. The connection was really bad but the first operator i talked with was very nice. After that I dont call anymore . I just let my hubby call them. and I followed ur advise that dont call them often . so now Im waiting for next week to see what will be happen.

Sachi, I know waiting is sucks. I feel for you but dont worry one of this day u will be approved. just hang up there and take a deep breath In and out.

love,

Rian

Looks like I got the false RFE, which means they have accepted the AOS package (right? - AVS says they are missing documents, the word 'financial' wasn't in the message). We haven't sent the DS-230 in, still waiting on the corrected police certificates. We should get those next Thursday, then send the DS-230 so I can get on Sachi's list!
