There are a few 'theatrics' with people who have been invited though. I wish people could / would put aside their differences for 1 day!

I don't think that the theatrics ever get to be as bad as they are in advice blogs in real life. I have an uncle who doesn't take care of his diabetes very well, and can be quite "interesting" when his sugar is off kilter, and my mother spent weeks and weeks fretting about it. Well, it turns out on the big day he did go a bit low, but the venue knew exactly what to do, and one of the staff sat with him and an OJ - nothing bad happened at all, and he was fine again by the reception. We also worried that my very vocal, very uber Christian aunt would have some words to say to us after our ceremony, and were braced for impact - it turns out nothing happened there, either. Just enjoy your day! I think you'll find most people CAN put aside their differences for 1 day. ;)

As for feeling left out.... Do your self a favor..... simply plan something to add to your day that they are not apart of....

I agree very much with this. There were lots of little things that others did for us (and Nik did) which made our day great. You can find something too. :)
