Anyone able to help with a Civil Surgeon who won't rip me off in the Kansas City area (either KS or MO)?

I phoned Dr. Yolanda Huet-Vaughn, Argentine Family Health, who were recommended on VJ about 4 years ago but they have quoted me $165 to $350!

Found a cheaper one:

  • 66062 - Olathe, KS
    • Dr. Isaac O Opole, Cogent Health Partners

801 North Mur Len Road, Suite 101, Olathe, KS 66062

      (913) 706-8105

  • $75 to transcribe the vaccinations.
  • Really annoyed because it is USCIS delaying inviting us to interview which led to this RFE! We sent the AOS package 3 days after we got married, which was 3 weeks after I got my K1 visa. USCIS then didn't invite us to interview until after our AOS application was over a year old. Grrrr......

I went to a clinic in Tyler Texas... the staff was VERY nice and the nurse in charge of the paper work for the Immigration physicals and stuff (Monica) was very understanding and super nice. The cost of ONLY the vaccination record reviewed and signed by the Physician Dr. Lester it was I think 50 Dollars. I didn't need any shots.

Had a good experience there. The office staff were very knowledgeable about the I-693. I brought all my vaccination records and TB test. Total cost for the medical and I-693 was $150 which I thought was very reasonable. I did need an extra blood test that cost $40 from an outside lab.

I just spent the last couple days calling all the local Civil Surgeons around me. I finally found one that did not insist that my Fiance needed to go through the whole medical exam again. This doctor knew all about the visa transcription and what is needed for a K1 visa.

Me and my husband paid a visit today, the nurse and the doctor are very nice and helpful!! Had a great experience!! Strongly recommend. Before this, I have called over 20 CSs in the area, all of them charge about 200 USD to do the whole thing which includes medical exam(required is what they told me, but my medical exam report is good for another 10 months!!)

No appointment is needed, you can just walk in and get everything done within 15 minutes.

Called them up after I had a bad experience with a DR office here in San Diego. Needless to say they were great. Told me to fax up her paper work and they would review it and we could come sign the papers and pick them up the next day for $30. Much cheaper than being lied to and told the wife needed a full exam for $200. 1.5 hour drive from SD is no problem for a good service.

No medical examination required. Vaccination assessment/transcription cost: $55.00 (I paid with a debit card)

Appointment only (I suggest) as I don't think the doctor is at the office every day.

Might need to bring proof from USCIS website to show them that another medical is not required for k1 visa holders (I had to as the doctor tried to convince me that he needed to run some tests on me).

I couldn't find anything for Jacksonville, FL so I wanted to contribute to help future people.

I called a handful of places and the doctor either didn't do it anymore, or wanted to do a full exam for $150. Way too much.

Finally found one that would just do the transcription for $50.

Dr. Juan F Garcia, Paxon Primary Care

1718 North Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32254

(904) 781-6203

If you call, speak to Norma. The receptionist transferred me to her cause she handles all the immigration info.

They said they do a lot of immigration exams. Not sure about prices but probably reasonable.

I went to this place based on recommendation. Norma tried to sell a full physical and had to be told no twice before she would agree to only transcribe. When we got there she forced a flu shot on us stating it is required. I followed up and checked on this and the flu shot requirement is based on the date of the physical, not the date she is transcribing. My final verdict on Norma and Paxon Primary Care is they will try to rip you off if they can, but you can get through if you are assertive and know what is not necessary.

I had a good experience here, the base cost is $150. I paid in total $300 as I needed the Td and flu shot, a blood test and TB skin test. It may seem quite a bit, but I actually did ring around the others in Pensacola, and Allan Ho's office quoted me $350 to $500, and Dr. Pham's just sounded pretty shady wanting me to book an appointment without actually giving me further info on costs and what not. Staff had great knowledge on process and were able to complete the paperwork for me to pick up in a timely manner once all the results were in.

Dr. Steinberg was very helpful and informed us of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Adult Vaccination Clinic, which was accessible by appointment on Wednesday afternoons. The clinic provides very low cost vaccinations. It is located at 2000 Dennis Ave., Silver Spring MD 20902. 240-777-0311.

We paid $115 for consultation. He required me another MMR Shot even if i already had 1 in the Philippines cause he said we should have 2 MMR shots and 1 flu shot. But unfortunately, both vaccines are out of stock so they referred us to CVS.

By far he's the cheapest in our area and most knowledgeable about immigration papers.
