Wah Gwaan fellow Yardies? Ok, I sent an email to Kingston Embassy last week with attached (scanned) DS-230 and I also mailed them the hard copy. I used Jawi's awesome cover letter and everything! I was hoping to get an interview date emailed back to me so we can set up a medical appointment and get this thing rolling.. BUT... this is what they wrote back...

I would wait for the embassy to received the mailed hard copy. If you included your email address in the email they should email you the interview notice letter. I did the same thing you did. I emailed them the ds-230 they emailed me back and said that they do not open attachments. But I also mailed hard copy. When I got confirmation that they had received it, I received an email the very next day with the interview letter (packet 4) attached.

It means that they haven't scheduled his interview yet. As soon as they do they will mail him a letter and possibly email you...hang tight it won't be much longer. You can always call the DOS phone # as well. If there is an interview date set up they will have it, that way you won't have to keep emailing the embassy. 202-663-1225 press 1 and then 0.

Yes, I agree with what the other Yardies have said. I would wait until they receive the mailed copy. I'm in the same process right now with submitting my DS-230 and I'm about to mail and e-mail it.

They just send me an email also stating that they do not open attachments. We mailed our DS 230 on friday so we are hoping to receive some type of email from the embassy.

Yea they stopped accepting attachments. I sent my DS230 as an attachment and they opened it and one week later I sent them a letter and they said they do not open attachments. I guess its the mail or DHL.

They just send me an email also stating that they do not open attachments. We mailed our DS 230 on friday so we are hoping to receive some type of email from the embassy.

Yea they stopped accepting attachments. I sent my DS230 as an attachment and they opened it and one week later I sent them a letter and they said they do not open attachments. I guess its the mail or DHL.

11/08/10: Green Card Received (No more stress until October 2012)

Wah Gwaan fellow Yardies? Ok, I sent an email to Kingston Embassy last week with attached (scanned) DS-230 and I also mailed them the hard copy. I used Jawi's awesome cover letter and everything! I was hoping to get an interview date emailed back to me so we can set up a medical appointment and get this thing rolling.. BUT... this is what they wrote back...

As soon as an interview date and time has been scheduled Mr. Francis will be notified.

I would wait for the embassy to received the mailed hard copy. If you included your email address in the email they should email you the interview notice letter. I did the same thing you did. I emailed them the ds-230 they emailed me back and said that they do not open attachments. But I also mailed hard copy. When I got confirmation that they had received it, I received an email the very next day with the interview letter (packet 4) attached.

I find that if you keep sending emails in a professional tone, not too irate, they will definitely respond in more detail. I had to ask them to be more detail because the previous email was too vague, and they did just that. I wanted to know where to send the DS230 form, they sent me an email stating send the form back A.S.A.P lol..I was like okay can you tell me where to send it to, and how long will it take after that to get an interview and they replied. right away.

Hi, He doesn't have it in his hand (yet)- His interview is coming up -Dec.14th... Let's hope and pray.. thanks for your response.. I got packet 4 about 2 days after I wrote this post.. Good luck with your visa journey my friend..
