Does anyone honestly "enjoy" airports?

I do. Some have excellent restaurants, and the shopping is da bomb.

Can anyone remember greeting their arrivals at the gate? At some airports, all the restaurants and restrooms are on the inner side of security. One thing all commercial airline airports have in common, they are as boring as hell. And it takes their clocks an hour to tick off a minute.

I actually like Miami International - good restaurants and shopping. :)

Booyah where do you live? Do you live in the US? If so, why? You seem to pretty much totally hate it. Is there something that you like about it? I'm just curious.

His tourist trinket shop at the airport is just starting to pick up.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Yes - the developed world. Where public toilets are made of marble and the cistern filled with Chanel Number 5.

What are you talking about? Compare Heathrow's T5 to any US airport. Once again, with comments like these, you either have not traveled outside your parents basement in the UK or you are just an i---t. Which is it?

I have used the majority of those airports.

I live in the the DC area. It's not hatred at all. Just pointing out that reality the US is severely behind in terms of infrastructure. Anyone who has traveled or lived in other first world countries would know this. Unfortunately the country has been embroiled in rights issues for the past 40 years, all while the erst of the developed world overtook.

NYC is a good example of a city being very average by international standards. It's run down and in a desperate need of a makeover. However every native NYer swears it's the best city in the world.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The difference seems to be that you care and I don't.

I don't make a point of spending a lot of time in airports.

Either do people in every other developed country. Yet their airports are modern and new.
