Gosh, this thing with SSNs in the US is driving me CRAZY. :girlwerewolf2xn: You can't do a single thing without it. Wish they'd issue the SSN at the same as the visa so you could set up some things before moving over.

Or Denmark without a CPR number. At least in America, you can enroll children in public school without a SSN.

they asked me to submit a new police certificate since the one they had expires in may. and my husband's employment letter. They also had not recived my medical.

I dont know why to each organization my case arrives, it becomes slow :D. I was at turtle vermont center, then NVC with all technical difficulties and now this VWP :((. I hope it does not take more than 1 month. do yo uthink if we can contact them regarding status ?

At least in Sweden and in Denmark if you don't have a personnummer/CPR, you just do your date of birth and the last four digits is 0000, and you're good to go. That's how I survived in Denmark until I got my CPR. :)

Yeah, they've slowed down now due to the new rules for the VWP plus I think they're changing staff. They took close to two weeks to issue my visa once they got our final reply to the 221(g). The US Embassy in Sweden are pretty fast at completing AP though compared to many other countries.

they asked me to submit a new police certificate since the one they had expires in may. and my husband's employment letter. They also had not recived my medical.

I thought our case was the slowest with 17 and a half months but you have us beat. How come your case was stuck for so long at USCIS? Almost a year and a half. Ouch. :(

No believe me, I am the record holder of being the longest application processing time. no body else has worst situation than me. this vermont service center seems to be a cursed one. I am telling every person I know to change their US address if they are forced to file in vermont!!
