Silly question. I looked into the New Delhi consulate website and they have listed K1 under Immigrant as well as non immigrant section. I want to know which category does K1 belong to as I need to send them an email. Please advise. I know that K1 is dual intent.

Thanks.

K visas are non-immigrant visas but they are almost always (maybe always) handled by the Immigrant Visa Unit of US Consulates. Email the IV unit.

K-Visas are NON-Immigrant, however they have Immigrant intent so are handled by the consulate's Immigrant visa unit.

K-Visa holders adjust status in the USA from NON-Immigrant to Immigrant.

This is because they are handled by the IV unit, but again K-Visa is NON-Immigrant and uses things like DS-156 (NON-IMMIGRANT) Visa application, I-134 which is for NON-Immigrant, and later files an I-485 to adjust status from NON-Immigrant to Immigrant. Only Immigrants get a Green-card, NON-Immigrants need to adjust status to get green-card.
