Newark ASC has moved to Elizabeth - Location, Parking, Mass transit

I am posting this here because there is no single forum this information belongs exclusively to. This information applies to all applicants who must go through fingerprinting and live in the areas previously served by the ASC in Newark, New Jersey.

Where do I park?

We parked at the Midtown garage run by the Central Parking Authority. It is on W Grand St, adjacent to Union St.

In the map below, point A is the Midtown garage and point B is the ASC in Elizabeth.

It is a 0.3 mile walk from the Midtown garage to the ASC. The cost for up to 1 hour is $2.60.

Other parking lots are available as well. See the website of the Parking Authority of the City of Elizabeth for details. Parking lots #2, 4 and 10 are in close proximity to the ASC. I drove by lot #2 at about 8:30am on a Tuesday and it was almost empty.

Can I take mass transit?

Yes. Go to NJTRANSIT.COM for details. The nearest train station is Elizabeth, served by both the NE Corridor line and the NJ Coast line. The station is no more than 0.2 miles from the ASC, just walk north on Broad Street. See this map to find out if the station near you is on either line served by this station.
