I've searched, I saw and I've read and yet I still don't understand how to go about paying these Document Verification Fees to DELBROS in The Philippines. To be more exact Manila. I just know thats its best if the fee is paid prior to my Fiancee's appointment at the Embassy. Can they not be paid at the Embassy? I realize this will cause a delay in the Visa being delivered to my Fiancee.

Can someone please give me a detailed step-by-step layout of the process. Preferably from someone who has been thru this already as it is more related to the Philippines.

Thanks.

Hello,

It is so easy! you have to read the USCIS site and you will learn a lot from it, i swear thats what i've done before joining here in visa j...It will show there what BANK you are goin to deposit the money and so with the account number. Just be patient...goodluck on your journey!!

It's been waived since October. But you have to bring recent copies of your BC/MC/CENMAR/CENOMAR and NBI clearance to your interview.

Appreciate the fast reply Jose. I guess thats what I get for searching to much. lol. But more info is better than not enough I would assume.

Thanks again.

No need to pay document verification. Just bring all required documents from the oct 2008 packet. You could get your NBI, CENOMAR, Birth Certificate in advance.

Thanks to all that replied. This ####### was driving me crazy. I am handling everything from my end in the US. It appears that was just another avenue to squeeze more money from Petitioners.

On the contrary, this is a high fraud country and there is a need to verify the authenticity of such documents. Fraudulent birth and marriage certificates (as well as other kinds of documents) are hawked openly in the streets of Manila for $30 a pop. Mind you these are Class A frauds using security paper complete with signatures and unique barcodes. The real downside is that the verification takes so long to process that it created a huge backlog that the US Embassy was forced to waive it to finish the backlog and it's still an ongoing process. In fact, I was interviewed last Sept. 17 and due to the slow DV process I only received my visa exactly 2 1/2 hours ago. And I know of some people who have been waiting for three months already and still don't have their visas yet. Consider yourselves lucky as you'll be spared from the agonizing wait for your visas.
