Case at MSC/NBC from the beginning?

Hello,

I am a bit confused about where my case is.

Like everybody else, I sent my application at the Chicago office. I received the NOAs mid-september, and my cases were online a few days after. I didn't notice it at first, but it is said "this case is t our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER". I found out that this center is also called the Missouri Service Center.

Is everybody's case at the MSC at first, or does that mean that my case has been transferred there since the very beginning???

I really am worry, because almost all the september fillers have a biometrics appointment scheduled, and all the ones who applied at the beginning of september like I did already passed their biometrics appointment... So I am the ONLY ONE who has received any letter from USCIS about my fingerprints, and that is killing me. Of course I called them, but they won't do anything until the 90 days limit have passed...

Anyway, so I try to understand the difference between MSC, California Center, local centers and so on... If anyone can help me about that, I would very much appreciate it.

ALL AOS cases get MSC numbers, Chicago is the Mail processing center for MSC (National Benefits Center).

An adjudicator will look at the case and decide if simple case and will send to CSC, or they decide an interview is needed and will send to field office.

Mine still at NBC since May 2nd. Don't worry that you should be getting your Biometrics anytime soon.
