passport photo size HELP!

So at the very last minute, I'm flying to the U.S. from Mexico tomorrow for a week. We are scrambling to put together the I-129F package and everything is going well except that I just noticed that my boyfriend's passport pictures are not 2x2. Other than that, they are perfect and are what he used for his Mexican passport. However, they are more like 2x1.5. I really wanted to send the package from the U.S-- a) to get it down, B) to save money, c) to feel more secure about it arriving intact. However, will they just completely disregard it if the photos are slightly less than regulation? Argh!

Thanks, Jamie

Sometimes people have submitted the 1.5" x 2" photos and didn't receive an RFE, and some people did and were asked to submit the "right" size. Even though the requirements ask for 2" x 2" I submitted the ones my boyfriend had (like your boyfriend's) and received my NOA2 without an RFE. We're also going through the Ciudad Juarez consulate. Also, if you haven't had a chance to see it yet, here is the CDJ thread with lots of helpful info: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37896

You may be risking losing a few weeks by submitting the 1.5" x 2" photos, so it's always a good idea to get the 2"x2" photos so everything will run smoothly. CSC and VSC work in weird ways...
