I-129F & G-325A Questions

Ok, I am sure these questions have been asked before...so forgive me for asking again.

1. When the forms ask for "Family Name", do I use both last names? She is from Colombia and uses 2 last names, so should I just use her Father's last name or do I include both?

2. I-129F Part B #9: What is "A#"? I am assuming she doesn't have one, but want to make sure.

3. I am filling out the forms using Adobe Acrobat, but many of the fields are not long enough for the complete name, date, etc... Should I fill these fields out by hand, or is there a way to reduce the text size in order to fit the entire entry within the field?

4. I am filling out the paperwork now, but will not be able to visit my Fiance again for another 4 weeks or so. I would like to submit the petition now so that we don't waste the time. I have a scanned copy of her signature....what are your thoughts if I use that on the forms??

Thanks!

I think that for the sake of the I-129F petition "copies" are ok.....thus making my Fiances scanned signature valid. Right? Then I can always have her sign the papers for real when I see her next month so that we have "originals" for when they are requested.

Any thoughts on my other questions before I send my petition in?

1. When the forms ask for "Family Name", do I use both last names? She is from Colombia and uses 2 last names, so should I just use her Father's last name or do I include both? I would put it exactly as it is written on all her official documents.

2. I-129F Part B #9: What is "A#"? I am assuming she doesn't have one, but want to make sure. That is the Alien number. She may not have one. Has she ever been given a visa to the US? If not then she will not have one.

3. I am filling out the forms using Adobe Acrobat, but many of the fields are not long enough for the complete name, date, etc... Should I fill these fields out by hand, or is there a way to reduce the text size in order to fit the entire entry within the field? There is a way you can disable Java so that you can write in the fields but I am not sure how to do it. I'm sure someone more tech savvy can tell you. But you can just fill those parts out by hand if you want.

4. I am filling out the paperwork now, but will not be able to visit my Fiance again for another 4 weeks or so. I would like to submit the petition now so that we don't waste the time. I have a scanned copy of her signature....what are your thoughts if I use that on the forms?? As far as I know the signatures all have to be original. I don't know that scanned signature will cut it.

Thanks!

I think that for the sake of the I-129F petition "copies" are ok.....thus making my Fiances scanned signature valid. Right? Then I can always have her sign the papers for real when I see her next month so that we have "originals" for when they are requested. The "copies" refer to documents (birth certificate, passport, divorce decree, etc). I would say wait and turn it in with the original signature instead of possibly getting an RFE that could delay you by months.

Any thoughts on my other questions before I send my petition in?

NO! The G325a must be original - I got an RFE for doing this - I did have the originals which I sent on receiving the RFE. Don't do that.

My wife doesn't use two last names rather one middle name and one last name - and she continues to do that even now (replaced her last name with mine). Are you saying she uses one middle name and two last names? My wife was using AAA BBB CCC as her full name and she put down CCC as her last name and BBB as her middle name. Entiende? Good Luck
