I received my CENOMAR today which I filed online. On the last part of the doc's content, it says "Issued upon the request of _____________ for Passport/Travel." Now, I am concern of the purpose of the issuance. Should have I chosen the "others" option and typed "Fiancee Visa" instead on the online form?

Anyone who requested their CENOMAR and has gone through USEM interview, please

hi i just called up NSO hotline (7371111) for follow-up(7371112)regarding the purpose of issuance and YES they said you should have chosen the real purpose which should be for the purpose of fiance visa. if u request for fiance visa then the word "FIANCE VISA" will be indicated on your cenomar. i got mine with passport/travel purpose last february, so i ordered another one with "fiance visa" as the purpose. how many days did they deliver it to you by the way? coz i took my first cenomar directly at the NSO office for 2 weeks, if u got yours delivered, how many days did u received it after paying at metrobank?

That's what I put on the reason why I applied for CENOMAR and I did fine. But for your own peace of mind, since you don't have your interview schedule yet, why not apply for a new copy and indicate the purpose of it, which is Others: Fiancee Visa Application. I know it's not cheap to apply again but like I said, it's for your own peace of mind.

My CENOMAR is - Immigration Purposes. I filed in person in their serbilis center, got it in less than 2 hours, paid 180 pesos.

My purpose was Travel/passport and got no prob!

Just like what Mae said for ur peace of mind why not get another one?!

Took them 6 working days to deliver. Online filing is much expensive than going directly to your local NSO office. Online filing costs 400Php.

Yes, you should have written "immigration" or "visa processing" or anything to that effect as your purpose.

here's my experience: i left that part of the form blank and when i got my cenomar. the last sentence said, "this was requested by blah for [u]EMPLOYMENT[/u] purposes". I freaked out coz that totally wrong. i mean, the intention of my visa application is to marry my fiance abroad and not employment. so i called the embassy and asked if i should request for another one. Lorraine said no as long as it says you're not married. plus they will have their own cenomar from nso anyway (the doc verification).

so dont worry if you left it blank :-)

oh, by the way... the pre-screener and the consul officer never got the cenomar from me (they didnt even look at it). I guess they got the doc verification report from delbros and NSO. :-)

Hi Riza,

I requested my CENOMAR online too & the purpose written in the document was "For passport/travel" & I did not have problems during the interview. There's no need for you to request for another copy; the CENOMAR you have is fine...

Oh really? That's good news then, I no longer have to get another one How about the expiration? Mine was issued last February 26. Is that ok still if I have my interview schedule on May or June? We're still waiting a word from the NVC to get our interview appointment.

I requested one copy online & like you I paid Php 400 coz I didn't want to stress myself out getting my copy from Dumaguete City :lol: I requested this document in January & my interview was in March so the schedule wasn't too far. I just came back from asking from our local registrar's office about the validity & expiration of the CENOMAR & the personnel told me it's valid for 1 year so you will be fine.

I put mine for "Fiancee Visa" I ordered it over the phone and they will ask you for what purpose it is.. And they will put it on the certificate..

I got mine online, google for NSO (National Statistics Office) or e-census. After paying in BDO, it was sent to me after two days.

If you are not at home, be sure to leave authorization letter.

Fedex has to come twice coz i forgot to leave an authorization letter. I called their hotline and requested them to comeback. They responded fast.
