Police Certifcate Vietnam

My Fiancee went to get her police Cert today 3 weeks before our Interview cand come to find out it will take 26 days to get the Cert. So I was wondering has anyone had this problem before and what do we need to do. Thanks Eric and An

Residents: Requests for a "Justice Record Check" (Phieu Ly Lich Tu Phap) are made at the Department of Justice office in an individual's district or official residence. The official residence is that registered in the "household registry" (Ho Khau) issued by the district police. There is a fee. The record check takes approximately three weeks to complete. The record check must be initiated in the district listed in the household registry as the citizen's official residence.

Got to Love Vietnam approximately I will keep my fingers crossed, so what will happen if she does not have it at the time of the interview will she even have the interview. Thanks

A few things packet 3 had a list of things required for interview, Police cert is listed, it is recommended to get the police cert at time of P3, the consulate expects the person to get the items listed before sending back the DS-230 part 1.

Anyway, if it is not in hand for interview, most consular officers will issue a blue slip requesting it be turned in before they issue the visa.

We tired to early but they would not talk to her until they had a letter from the consulte saying she had a interview date. We tried a 8 weeks after we got packet 3 sent in. Thanks for the help we should get it .
