Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Miami
POE Date : 2011-03-30
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0

Comments : I started this journey on February 2, 2013 for my daughter and I. But everything about USCIS is a nightmare; first, my appt for biometric never came during the first 30 days, I needed to wait 4 months and to do many calls to USCIS, my daughter was good, she got it in the proper time. On July 15 I did it; now, waiting for good news, approval I-751, but not. They sent a RFE on late July: my husband must to sign my daughter file (Previously I had asking USCIS about that, and they told me just my daughter must to sign) waste our time. We inmediately sent back the form. The waiting continue again...
On September, I called USCIS one more time asking about my case and they only said: "you need to wait the processing time".
On October, I called again, hehehe! now they told me I was selected to an interview, but they had not the date, OMG! more waiting...
A few days before christmas, I called again, now asking about my time for Naturalization and if I could apply with I-751 pending, they didn't told me nothing, their advice was if I apply the N-400 maybe it could delay until approval of I-751. They checked my time processing and said I was out of time (Genius! I knew that!) and since August 26, I was selected for an interview. They put a service request, and finally, on December 26 I received in my mailbox a letter with the appt to January 27, 2014.
Until now, almost one year in a process that we expect be done in six month. The same thing was with my I-130. That's is the reason that I hate the USCIS's process. I hope when I fill the N-400 will be faster or the normal time.
Coments of Interview
Well guys here we go!
Yesterday we went to the interview at Newark Local Office, our appointment was at 10:30 am. Me, my husband, my older daughter and my little one came around 10:00 o'clock. We passed thru all security point, went to the 14th floor, It was crowded. I gave the appt letter to the receptionist and he said wait until an officer calling you. I don't remember how much time we wait, finally a man called me, we went to his office, we did an oath, and showed our ID and passports and my little one's birth certificate .
He asked a lot of question:
How we met, when, where, who introduced us, when we got married, which kind civil or religious, If we did a party and what place, how many guests, and whom they were, where was our honey moon, how many days, he kept a few pictures of our wedding (I felt in the first interview at Embassy)
He asked if we live together, we have a joint bank account, file joint taxes, how many trips we did since I got my CR, and where, health, car and life insurance... He never looked into the documents and pictures we filed with I-751 form
The interviewer kept our last christmas card, and last bank statements.
He said in three weeks we'll receive a letter with the decision. I hope it doesn't take much longer...

Hi, Guys
I'm here again... can you believe this: My daughter received her GC on the date scheduled by USPS 02-13-14 and, that same day I expected receive mine too, but until today I haven't. I'm a unlucky girl with the USCIS processes; always, always my daughter receives first any documents before than me.
The tracking number were issued the same day, and the first one was mine and she was 13 consecutive numbers more.
On the USPS site shows the place and date & time stopped on Feb 11 on my tracking. Yesterday morning I called USPS and put a service request, last nigth I received back a call from them and say that my package is still on his office at Knoxville, TN. Today, the updated on the website shows the package is at Kearny, NJ
I hope receive it tomorrow.(Feb. 21st)

NOA Date : 2015-01-08
Bio. Appt. : 2015-01-29
Interview Date : 2015-04-27
Approved : Yes
Oath Ceremony : 2015-04-27
Comments : The interview was very smooth and faster, but, I noticed, at the Newark office if you have an appointment in the morning be prepared to spend the whole day there, otherwise if it is at the afternoon the waiting time is no longer.
My appointment was at 11:15 am, I came around 10:35; I was called at 12:50, the interviewer swore me in, asked me for my ID, green card and passport and then proceeded to review the N-400 form, asked me a few questions from the application itself, asked me if I had filed my taxes, about any arrests, convictions, traffic tickets in my past, she went over the yes/no questions one by one. I told her to update my travel info, checked my passport and wrote the dates in the form. Then the speaking, reading, and civics tests, it was very, very easy, but I was very nervous.
I signed the forms, pictures, and other sheet with a yes /no questionnaire about if I changed my mind since the interview. She gave me that sheet and the naturalization interview results, total time: around 25 minutes (1:15 pm), she sent me back to the waiting area and wait for my name to be called. I was called at 3 pm; I gave back the oath sheet, review the naturalization certificate, give up my green card and, he asked if I have another expired GC, he gave me a green envelope and asked me to send it back to the Newark office with the card, then sent me to the ceremony room, there wait about 30 minutes.

The Oath ceremony took place around 4:00 pm. More than 30 people from different countries reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, singing the National Anthem and the Oath of Allegiance to becoming a U.S. citizens.
I felt very emotional to end this immigration journey.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
