Reached USEM at 6:20AM saw Lenny (ylen1982 I met her here at visajourney). At 7:50AM Security guard checked our appointment letter and passport then another security guard check our appointment letter and passport before entering the building, after that went inside for checking and scanning (its like in the airport) they took our phone. Then went to another building, security guard gave us a number I got 003, by the way we are only 3 persons at that time. Then my number flashed at number 8, an Arabic lady took my appointment letter and passport then she went inside to get my files I think that is our I-129F we sent, then she ask for my document I gave her all my forms and documents in folder with tab but she disassemble it and she took the following documents:
1.)Form DS-230
2.)Forms DS-156
3.)Form DS-157
4.)DS-156K
5.)Form I-134 (with supporting documents: current salary letter, current bank statement and 1040 tax form for year 2010)
6.)Copy of Cenomar, Birth certificate, Police clearance
7.)2 passport photo
8.)Evidence Of Relationship (she took the photographs only and return the other evidence to me and told me to just show it to CO if needed)
Original of CENOMAR, Birth certificate, Police clearance was return to me. Then she gave a slip to pay and asked me to return back to her after paying, after paying to casher I returned back to her gave her the receipt and ask me to wait till my number flash again. My number flashed at window 11 for digital finger printing, lady told me to wait near window 3. My number flashed at window 3 an American lady ask me to pick up the phone asked to raise my right hand to swear and sign the forms. Afterward, the interview began. The following questions were asked:
1. So Scott S is your fiancé
2. How did you meet him
3. How long you been a member of eharmony, I mean when you met him
4. How old he is
5. Where does your fiancé live
6. What he does for living
7. What do you do for living
8. How long I been in Dubai
9. When did you met him (in person)
10. How long you been with him (in person)
11. When was the last time you saw him in person
12. When the two of you decided to get married
13. Why you two only file now it’s almost 2 years since you last met him.
14. When will be the wedding, where
Then she scan through our papers and said ok it look all good, then took a blue slip (I got pretty nervous when she took the blue slip, Am thinking we will be on AP) then she said ok we will have a long holiday so your passport will take time with us, is that ok with you, I said its ok. Then she said ok keep this (blue slip) on September 8 1:30PM you come back here and collect your passport with visa.
The interview took only 15minutes or less. At 9:00AM, I and Lenny were out of the USEM building. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
