Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 25, 2011
Embassy Review : Showed up at the medical at about 5:55am and 6 other people were already there waiting outside. We stood out side until someone showed up to let us in. Got in the elevator and went up to the 2nd floor. We were told to grab a number in the order we showed up. filled out some papers and was directed to go get blood work. Then went for our chest x-ray, followed by our external medical and an eye exam.
Showed up at my interview and had to wait outside. Someone came and saw me and asked which visa I was getting. Checked me off the list and was escorted inside. went through a security check and was escorted upstairs, they scanned my medical envelope for anthrax and then was escorted up the elevator. Was sent immediately to window B. Was asked to put my documents in a specific order. She went through them then gave me a number. I sat there for about 30 minutes till my number was called. I went to another window where the guy looked over my file, asked me where we met, and that was it. He told me i was approved and i went back to window B for the instructions. I was out of there by 11:20am.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
