Embassy Review : |
My interview was scheduled for 8:00 so I got there for 7 as I'd heard it was first come, first served. At 7:45 they started checking people off the register and sent us into security checks. After the security checks we followed the path round the side of the building and were lead to a desk where a woman was checking our letters and giving us our corresponding numbers. We went to sit dow;, luckily I had made a friend and we were chatting which made the time go a little quicker and the nerves a little calmer. Roughly 45 mins later I was called to my interview window where a little Chinese lady took my I-134 forms, passport, photos and my birth and polices certificates and their photocopies, she gave me my pink courier form to fill out and my Doctors Cd (she said iIhave to keep this with my confidential envelope at POE) went and sat down and filled in the form.
By this time it was 9:30 and I started a wait which seemed to last FOREVER.
roughly another 30 mins later my friend got called up and he got his visa approved then they skipped right past my number. This is when the panic set in, so i went and asked about what was happening. They said I was the next one to be called, so off I went to the second part of the interview where a lady greeted me and then started asking me, how I met my fiance, how long I've known her, when do we intend to get married, when do I intend to leave. Then she asked me about the problems I had on my visa waiver in October (denied at POE for insufficient ties) so I explained it all and was approved. I felt like I was going to faint. Went and queued up with my pink form paid the courier fee and iIwas out the door by 10:30. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
