Comments : Bit of a saga, quite a bit of time had lapsed post-biometrics so decided to enlist the help of a local congressional aide to assist after USCIS were most unhelpful with my phone enquiry. Turned out the case had been sat dormant for quite some time but her call seemed to prompt them into action and I received everything 10 days later.

Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : September 26, 2011
Embassy Review : Fairly straightforward process in light of the enormous wealth of paperwork you read is required and mental preparation which goes hand in hand with this. Had an early appointment which was helpful and in total I recall it only took two hours from queuing up to leaving. Really and truly, the only items they asked for were the standard things (birth certificate, passport, passport pictures, affidavit of support etc). Having come armed with a whole host of supplementary items (phone bills, pictures, ticket stubs etc) none of these were requested.

I did however have one slight problem to overcome. To all those Brits who may come across my review, do read the information about birth certificates. I only had a copy of the short form, this had sufficed throughout the previous paperwork (no RFE), but upon brandishing this at interview stage I was made to seek a long version of my birth certificate (very simple process I learnt thereafter, just get in touch with your nearest registry). Despite being approved by the officer, I was required to courier this to embassy asap to generate my visa, which I duly did and thankfully without too much trepidation. As it was, my visa arrived at my house 4 days later and I was on my way to the US two days after. All in all, the formal interview took less than 5 minutes and the officers questions were incredibly routine. My advice, sound preparation makes for a quick and painless experience.
Rating : Good

POE Review: Washington DC
Event Description
Entry Date : 2011-08-29
Embassy Review : Extremely straightforward, officer asked me a couple of formal questions and took my sealed envelope and did what he was required to do with it. Thereafter, he did the usual fingerprinting and photograph, stapled my 1-94 to my passport and sent me on my way. Took no longer than 10 minutes to go through. No complaints in the slightest.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
