Approved without interview! New green card came by mail. Didn't know interview was skipped.
Did receive UCSIC letter reminding that it is time to remove conditions! Within a week after filing I-751 received Notice of Action extending conditional status for one more year. Next day received Biometrics Appointment Notice. |

Embassy Review : |
In two words our interview went very good. The officer was a nice young lady, professional and pleasant. Originally she was from Poland, came to US with her parents when she was 5 years old. She made us feel comfortable from the beginning. Asked for originals of all the required documents. I gave her all originals along with one set of copies and translations. In the end she kept the copies and gave all originals back to us. She took I-94 form from my husband\'s passport and commented on how old it was. He overstayed for 10 years, so yes, old While looking through our photo album she was asking questions like how we met, when got engaged, married, prior marriages, kids. She asked me if I met my husband\'s sons, and I said no since we didn\'t have chance to go to Mexico yet, but we are friends on a Facebook. She also asked my husband if he left US to go to Mexico during his overstay, and he said no. She also commented on my husband being close to my daughter (we had a lot of pictures of three of us when he hugs both of us or her). Then she said that we have enough proof of true marriage and let\'s move to actually green card. She went through the forms verifying all the names and dates on them, employment, criminal history, etc... She asked my husband if he is still employed at the same place and his position there. She knew that he got his social security number just recently, but didn\'t ask how he could work for 10 years and that sort of questions. We also gave her a transcript of our joint 2010 tax return. Then she said after we leave she\'ll run one more check of our criminal history to be sure nothing has happened between previous check and today and explained that green card will be conditional for two years and how to remove conditions later. She said we are done, shook our hands, said congratulations and you will get your card within a month We felt very lucky to get an officer like this, who doesn\'t put unnecessary pressure, but handles an interview seriously and professionally.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
