Event Description
Review Date : July 16, 2011
Embassy Review : WELL HERE GOES, MY APPOINTMENT WAS AT 9:30AM. I GOT THERE ON TIME. WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES IN THE LINE BEFORE WE WERE NEXT, THE LADIES OUTSIDE TOOK OUR FORMS DS156,2 COPIES: DS157,2 COPIES AND DS156K, 2COPIES, OUR PASSPORT PICS AND PAYMENT RECEIPT THEN WE WENT THRU SECURITY AND WAS SHOWN A DOOR TO FO THROUGH. BECAUSE I HAD MY BABY THEY CALLED ME TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE AND GAVE ME MY NUMBER AND A YELLOW SLIP OF PAPER AND TELL ME TO GO TO THE RIGHT, ONCE WE GOT INSIDE WE WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES BEFORE OUR NUMBER WAS CALLED, SO WE WENT UP TO THE WINDOW WHERE THERE WAS A JAMAICAN LADY WITH A STINKING ATTITUDE ASKING THAT I SIGN THE DS156 FORMS FOR MYSELF AND MY SONS AND PUT EVERYBODY'S PAPERS IN THEIR OWN PASSPORTS. SO I PUT THE FORMS AND PICS IN THE PASSPORTS AND THEN SHE ASKED FOR THE POLICE REPORT. I ASKED IF I SHOULD PUT THE NON IMPEDIMENT AND OTHER STUFF AND SHE ANGRILY SAID I SAID EVERYTHING SO I JUST STARTED PUSHING EVERYTHING UNDER THE WINDOW. POLICE RECORDS,DIVORCE DECREE, I134, TAX RETURNS MY FIANCE BANK STATEMENTS BIRTH CERTS EVERYTHING, SHE TOOK MINE FIRST AND CAREFULLY DID EACH ONE AT A TIME THEN SHE TOOK OUR FINGERPRINTS THEN ASK US TO GO SIT DOWN. WE WAITED ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE OUR NUMBER WAS CALLED AGAIN AND WE WENT TO WINDOW NUMBER 8 WHERE THERE WAS A YOUNG WHITE AMERICAN MALE. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO THE US? I SAID NO. THEN HE ASKED IF THE BABY HAD A US PASSPORT, I TOLD HIM YES, HE ASKED FOR MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTH CERT AND I GAVE IT TO HIM. HE THEN ASK ME AND MY SONS TO SIGN SOMETHING THEN MADE LIFT OUR RIGHT HANDS AND SWEAR TO TELL THE TRUTH. THEN HE ASK MY SONS TO HAVE A SEAT. THEN THE QUESTIONS WERE: HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN YOUR FIANCE? HOW DID YOU MEET? HAVE YOU TWO EVER LIVED TOGETHER? FOR HOW LONG? WAS YOUR HUSBAND PREVIOUSLY MARRIED? I CORRECTED HIM AND SAID MY FIANCE? HE SAID, OH YES YOUR FIANCE (LOOK OUT FOR THESE LITTLE SLIPS, THEY THINK THEY R SMART)WHEN WAS THE DIVORCE FINALIZE? BUT YOU TWO HAVE BEEN TOGETHER BEFORE? HOW WAS THAT WHEN HE WAS STILL MARRIED?( THEY SEPERATED FROM 2007)WHERE DOES HE WORK? WHAT DOES HE DO? HAVE YOU OR ANY OF YOUR SONS EVER BEEN ARRESTED BY THE POLICE? HAVE YOU OR ANY OF YOUR SONS EVER LIVED IN ANOTHER COUNTRY? THEN HE SAID OK MISS, YOU CAN GO TO WINDOW 26 AND ARRANGE WITH DHL TO DELIVER YOUR VISAS. I WAS OU OF THERE IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS. NB. THEY COULD NOT FIND ONE OF MY SON MEDICAL, SO HE NOTIFY ME THEY WONT BE ABLE TO PRINT THE VISAS UNTIL THEY SEE HIS MEDCAL REPORT AND IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM THEY WOULD CALL ME. THANKS BE TO GOD THEY FOUND IT AND EVERYTHING WAS OK.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
