Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 8, 2011
Embassy Review : Mei had a very good interview. I do not have all the details yet as I am in the States.
The Interviewer was a young woman about 28 years of age. There were very few questions. Apparently one of the first questions asked was the name of my daughter. Mei said the name of my daughter and the Consulate officer was impressed. The next question was the age of my daughter. Mei again knew the answer and told the officer my daughters birthdate. Mei then showed a picture of my daughter to the officer. There were a few other exchanges and Mei showed some pictures of my last trip to China when I was making dumplings with her and her mother. The Officer was pleased and said something like congratulations you are approved.
Apparently, Mei was the last to interviewed that day so i do not know if this worked in her favor or if we just prepared very well.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
