Embassy Review : My appointment was at 8:00am today in Kingston and thanks to the vjer i made it through. I got there at 7:50 secured parking and left my phone and car keys with a friend in the cleaners. i was the only person in the line at that point so i went straight to the ladies in pink, she took my forms and stapled my pictures to them and also the receipt and directed me to the security area. After going through the security checks and having to remove my belt i proceeded to an outdoor lobby area where i signed the forms as instructed by the ladies in pink. This was now about 8, i went in the door got a ticket and was told to go straight in and have a seat and wait to be called.

The area had about 20 persons in the immigrant section so i knew i was in for a wait, after about an hour i was called to window 6 where a Jamaican lady took my documents and my fingerprints. she asked for my fiancee's cell # and i blanked out. i remembered the area code and the first 3 numbers but forgot the last 4. i told her the number is relatively new, which it is, and that she's on speed dial so i didn't memorize it. she laughed. she was a very pleasant woman and she was interactive and talkative and asked me where i worked and what i did. i went back to have a seat and waited to be called for my interview.

after an hour or so i was called to window 9 where a nice American male CO proceeded to conduct the interview. the interview lasted about 5 minutes and he asked a few questions, not as many as i thought.
-what type of work each of us did
-where we both worked
-when we first met, when i told him we met at a party, he asked me what kind of party and i told him a get together before the annual party Yush
-when did my fiancee come back after the initial visit
-when was the last time she was here
-how many trips she has taken to Jamaica
-where we were going to live in the US
-if either of us were married or had any kids
after that he asked if i had any pictures. i showed him the photo album and went through it with him telling him where we were in each picture.
he seemed very impressed. at this point he began writing up some forms and gave me my ticket to go to the DHL window. i was approved!
the entire process was very good and not as bad as i thought. the staff was very friendly and as long as you are prepared it will be smooth.
Rating : Very Good

Embassy Review : It was good no hassle really, gave passport then envelope guys asked if i was getting married i said yes he asked if i was sure i was ready for that and smiled. Handed the papers to another officer who took me to a room with about 15 others already there after about an hour i was out. the guy who interviewed me just asked if i knew how a K1 works an that i need to get married even if its not to my petitioner to stay in america and laughed and wished me luck and even directed me to my connection area. it was good all in all no real issue of noted, except when we were to leave miami the plane is all set doors locked all aboard then the captain announces that there is no ground crew to push the plane from the gate so we were there for another 20 minutes granted we were already delayed 10 minutes then off we went for another 5.5hrs into the darkness got to LA after midnight but i was all worth it.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
