Embassy Review : Pleasant experience. Simple questions. Just make sure you have your originals of court and other legal documents. I had original divorce decrees but one looked to be just a copy. He thought it was a copy and first said he could not approve us, devastated. We left the embassy and got outside with our letter and what else we needed and we were shocked! I thought for a second and I said this is the original and if I contact the County Courts for another original, this is all they will send to me. So my Fiance said to go back in so we did and after I confronted that guy again with the argument that this is all I will get if I requested another certified original, he took her passport and tore up the letter. Thank You God! So much time and work put into this whole process, not to mention the plans that were made for after her arrival into the states. I am so glad I was able to be there with her at the interview, if not she would not have been able to argue as I did, because I was the one who got that certified original copy of the divorce and knew for a fact that it was. So do not let someone deny you if you know they are wrong. Good luck! Other than that, the following is a basic timeline of how the day went. Showed up at 8:30 am, got visitor passes then entered around 9:45 am. Documents turned in around 10:30 and told to come back at 1:30 pm. Arrived back at Embassy and entered at 1:20 pm, no waiting. We were the third out of 4 immigrant visas and were in front of the interviewer at around 2:50 and after a few simple questions we were approved.

POE Review: Miami
Event Description
Entry Date : 2011-08-21
Embassy Review : Flew KLM to Miami International Airport with my fiance. When we arrived we were the only international flight arrival into Miami so there was no line. My fiance and I were directed to the US Citizen line at the passport control area and were second in line :-). All were nice and explained everything to us. We were the only ones in the visa processing room and the total time it took us to get from the passport check counter to where the hotel shuttles pick you up was about 30 minutes, very easy and quick.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
