Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 29, 2011
Embassy Review : Arrived at the Embassy at 7:45 and got inside at 8:00
big room with lots of chairs the computer screens weren't on at the time so instead we had some bloke calling at the numbers...

waited for about 4 hours (damn long time) and got my number called out to window 13, went over and a middle aged lady took all what was required off me...birth cert...police record....I-193 plus evidence..passport photo's all the usual stuff without cracking one smile...miserable women lol told me to go and sit back down and wait for my number again which I did

thankfully only had to wait another 20 mins before they called my number again which was the actually interview and window 16 middle aged bloke this time and at least he put me more at ease talking to him asked all the usual questions
how did we met (playing a game on facebook)
who contacted who first (Lori conntacted me in an email to say thanks for sending her a gift)
when did we first met in person (September the 10th 2010)
where was this (Minnesota, Shoreview)
also said about the second meeting I went over before he even said it
asked me if she has ever been here to visit me (I said no but Lori will be coming over in July for my sister's Wedding)
When are we getting married (10th Sept 2011 exactly one year since we first met in person)
when am I going over (I said sometime inbetween after my sisters wedding and before our wedding)

then he done a few things and said the magic words APPROVED
must say nothing beats that feeling after going through all the wait and worry and hearing those words

rushed back to my hotel to facetime Lori and tell her the good news
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
