Comments : I sent my I-130 on 10/10/2010 but it was rejected due to proper fee's because I tried for the fee waiver request and was denied.

I got an RFE at NVC because they said my marriage and husbands birth cert. were not original i pitched a fit! because they were! and a few days later CC :)

Got a 221-g on September 14th because of sponsor problems. Fixed the problem and got a call from the embassy saying ALL of our paperwork was fine but we are in Administrative Processing...We do not need a second interview. We just have to wait for work from the embassy on our approval/denial.

Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 20, 2011
Embassy Review : Our interview was for 9am we arrived at 7am walked up the sidewalk towards a LONG line but don't fret that line is for tourist visas we went to line 3 where there was only 3-5 people in front of us...it took about 5 minutes until we were at the front the lady looked at our appointment letter and my passport(to make sure I was the petitioner) put a green sticker with a number 40 on both of our chests and sent us forwards towards security....we waited about another 5 minutes to go through security(breeze) we walked towards the waiting room and a guy(with amazing eyes by the way) stopped us to put a sticker on the hubbies passport for Domesa and off we were to line 40....once there we got a green folder(it will be green or brown) with instructions for the order of our forms(the instructions are in Spanish so I was no good hubby had to do it lol) we sat down and it took about 5 minutes to get everything organized and we brought it back up to the lady at line 40 and looked at it quickly gave it back and said to sit in front of the cafeteria and wait to be called(she said it would be windows 2-8 or 31-32) we waited about an hour and a half and hubby was called to window 3 I walked up with him but was shooed away quickly lol I walked back but did not sit down hubby was at this window for the 7 minutes it made me nervous the hubby says he gave her the green folder she did a mini interview asking how we met, when was the last time I(petitioner) came to Colombia, if my family has came to Colombia, she was not rude my hubby said she laughed a lot with him then old him to sit down and wait about 10 minutes to be finger printed at line 2...she didn't lie it was only 10 minutes and we were at line two together for his fingerprints took like 3 minutes sat back down and waited for the final interview.....we only waited about 30 minutes and again was called to line 3 we both walked up nervously but she greeted hubby with a smile and good morning told him he could relax because everything looked fine so far....she confirmed his name and who I was and told us to wait for a moment she came back and told us the bad news that everything was perfect except for our sponsor....he didn't make enough so she sent us away with instructions to continue our process telling us we would have to come back to Bogota for a small interview once we figured this out....I held it together until we got to the taxi and broke down...all of this for nothing for 2,000 short on the I-864...that amount of money is keeping us apart for now *sigh* but anyways we had gotten there at 7am and were done by 10:30 it was very quick organized and everyone was nice including the Colombians If I would have been approved it would have been absolutely perfect(btw the line for Domesa as we were leaving only had about 10 people in it I expect if approved we would have been done by 11 anyways)
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
