Thank God we are approved. My fiance got to the consulated about 5:45. He didnt know ppl were alrad lining up so he was just walking around. He later joined the line but wen the soilders arrived, they told them they dont want any line but the all still stay there. wen he was about to enter, he discovered he had a flash drive in his pocket and was sent to the back of the line. once inside, he said they were just calling numbers @ random. wen he was finally called, (it was a white guy, very nice and polite he said) he brought out all the evidence, 2 binders and an envelop. The CO asked him wot was in there and he told him. We had over 800 pages of phone record, letters, email, bb chats, yahoo chats, evidence of meeting in the last 2yrs etc
CO: Wen did your fiancee traveled
Co: Wen did u started dating
CO: We did u propose
Co: Why so long before u propose( he explained we were both in school wen we started. we have bin together for 8yrs)
CO: Wot are ur wedding plans
Co: Why do u want to marry in the states (He said cos we want a small weeding and the CO said but Nigerians like big weedings. He told him we just want initimate ceremony with family and close frds)
CO: He looked @ the phone record and noticed I called using the regurlar # on the phone card. ( my Fiancee showed him some examples of cards i use and explain to him its gives me more minutes with the regular # than the 1800 #s)
The CO only checked a pic of us taken 5 yrs ago @ Erin Ijesha water falls.
He told him to thank me for organsing everyting for them. (put a tab on each and every package e.g phone records, 1-134 with tax returns, letters from bank and employer and a yr worth of pay chks etc)
He spent like 3 minutes with the CO and we were approved (The CO said he was conviced by the time he took out the binders and everything else). Thank God. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
