Embassy Review : i guess its my turn to share my experience at the us embassy. i was scheduled for interview April 5, 2011 at 6:35am. i woke up early around 3:30am to double check my documents, my valid id and appointment letter. i didnt even take a cup of coffee or anything, i left house around 4:15am and passed by ministop to buy few pcs of candies and crackers( just to make sure i can have a bite incase i get hungry) . i had to take a cab to make sure i wont be late for my appointment. before 5am i was already there, applicants were starting to come and getting ready for their scheduled appointment. nobody is allowed to bring any cellphones or any gadgets inside embassy. even water!.you can leave all your gadgets outside, someone will approach you about leaving your things to them, guess how much they'll ask when you leave your things to them,,P200/100 for a cp. expensive ha :-)(they will hand you their ID and payment will be made after your interview)
6am all immigrants, seamen, K1 were asked to fall inline..before my time i was already inside the embassy...security 1 asked for valid id and the appointment letter, security 2, again show id and appointment letter, security 3 scanning of bags etc,.. after this i was asked to go to door i forgot..lol..anyway they only have 2 doors so i went to door from my right, from there we were asked again to fall inline for a number. mine is 7023. a lady at the window asked if i have completed all my documents and medical.i said everything is ready. she said to prepare and ready all my documents for the interview. drop the other number 7023 to window 39 and wait for my number on the que board..i went to another door..security again!!..lol..oh well ..finally i saw window 39, dropped my number 7023 and waited for about half an hour for my number to be called. someone called my name to window 52, i was told that my folder was given a wrong number, anyway, this was the first interview...i was interviewed by a filipino, i was asked in tagalog. he asked for my cenomar, ds 156, 156k, 157, nbi, birth certificate, affidavit of support, w2, itr2009. he asked few questions like how we met, are we both single, no marriage before, how many times he visited me here, how do we communicate, proof our relationship like photos.etc..then after that i was told to wait for my number again to be called. another 30 minutes my turn again for fingerprinting..it wont take long ,the nice lady asked my name and birthday then thats it...now for the final interview, it took about 30 minutes again for my number to be called. i was interviewed by a chinese looking guy and an american beside him listening to us while he is talking to me.everything went smoothly because i answered all his questions. my interview took only less than 2 minutes saying his final words...okay ms espiritu your visa has been approved!! you may relax now and wait for your number again..before lunch my number was called at window 71, the filipina was so nice that she said i can now take my lunch..only after i finished with the last paper im going to fill up. fill up the form ..bring to window 43 (2GO), she hand me back the letter i recieved from the embassy and told me..this is yours..you can keep this or do anything you want to do to this letter..you may take your lunch now and congratulations..:-)..exactly 12 lunchtime..i was out of the embassy....i hope every applicants will have a great experience like mine. just make sure all your documents are complete, answer only what is being asked by the officer. be confident and most especially pray before going to your interview..God Bless Us All..

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
