As we did DCF in New Delhi in India. So there is no word like NVC,NOA1,NOA2 and USCIS service center in our case.
If anybody doing DCF in india then picked up packet-3 from consulate and submit it at the same time.By this way u can get ur visa interview date early. |

My appointment was scheduled on 9:45 am on 9/26. We reached the field office at 9 am. After security checking we went inside. Now this is the new office in Philadelphia. They switched here before 3 weeks. If you have ROC interview then go to second floor and do check in. We checked in at reception at 9:30 am. There was another couple who has the ROC interview too. There were lot of peoples in the waiting area. Most of them have the Citizenship interviews. The other couple was called at 9:50 by one IO lady. They went together and after 15 minutes our name was called by other Officer. So i think there was no STOKE interview for that couple. But after that i don't know what happened with them.
Our IO name was M Copestick. He welcomed us inside his office. So there was no STOKE interview for us. There was another associate in his office who was taking training of IO from him. We took oath. My original file + RFE file was there in a big folder. The IO was looking strict initially. Then he suddenly started asking questions.
IO has asked the following questions to my Wife (USC) :
How did u meet him ?
Whats your DOB ?
Have you ever been denied for VISA?
How did you become US Citizen ?
Was there any problem in your family to anybody for VISA denial ?
Do u have any children in anywhere in the world ?
What do u do for living ?
Is this your first marriage ?
IO has asked the following questions to me :
Do u have any children in anywhere in the world ?
Whats your DOB ?
Is this your first marriage ?
What is your current address ?
Have u ever been arrested ?
Do u know the mean of arrested ?
Then he asked us , "Do you guys want to submit anything else which u haven't submitted " ? . Then i gave him some bank statements. Then i asked him , can i give you other bank's statements and credit card statements? He smiled and said , "No that's okay, i have already enough."
After that he was very friendly. We talked some things about our Business and some religious talks. Then he said , "You guys are very nice , you are already APPROVED." Then he stamped my I-751 . "APPROVED". Woooohoooo.
Then i asked him , "Do you guys put stamp in passport?". He said , "No we don't do anymore". Then he told me you will get your GC in 8 weeks.
Then i told him , My Driving Licence is expiring on 10/22. What happen if i will not get my GC intime ? Then he told me, "Hummm u r right.". Then he called the Infopass lady and asked her to put stamp in my passport. But she was busy or something. Then he said as you guys are Nice so i will use my stamp last time. Then he got his his old I-551 stamp from his back office and he stamped my passport with I-551. Then i also told him that i have also already applied for N-400 . He said, yeah i see that in my system, but we need to first adjudicate your I-751 to process your N-400.
So overall my Interview experience was very good. The IO was very nice. Now i am waiting for my GC in mail. Also on ther other side i am waiting for Interview date of N-400.

Embassy Review : |
My interview was scheduled for 15th Nov 2010. I reached bombay on 14th Nov. I stayed at Swaminarayan temple which is across from the VFS office. On 15th , i went to VFS at 7am. Then i joined the queue. Then we entered in VFS lounge and finally we got on the bus at 7:20 that takes us to the embassy.
There was a long line there to enter into the consulate but we were directed from bus to directly into consulate.I processed through security check and after that i was told by one lady to go on window-3 for fingerprint. So i was fingerprinted at 7:45.All immigrant applicants were fingerprinted on window-3. Then i waited till my name was called. Finally my name was called by the pre-screener on window-9 at 8:15.She was gujju lady. She started to talk in gujarati.First she asked me for my passport & draft. Looking my pick in passport, she asked me this is your passport(lol)?? I said yes, offcourse. Then she asked me the following questions in our local language(gujarati).
~Who filed the petition for you?
~Whats your wife name?
~When she came to india lastly?
~Have you ever been in usa?
~When you went?
After that she has given me the Selective service form to sign and she explained me that you have to register for selective service at any nearest post-office within 30 days of ur POE.Otherwise you will be charged & jailed. This is only for male whose age is between 18 to 26.So i signed the form and returned it.She has also given me my copy of it. After that she has returned me my wife tax returns of 2008 & 2007 and IRS transcripts of last 3 years. She has only kept 2009 year return. She has also returned my all oroginal documents which was submitted at VFS.Then she told me to wait again and you will be interviewed by CO. Then again i took seat and waited.
I was watching that all immigrants were pre-screened by local indian officers on 2-3 windows. After 9:30 the american CO came at that windows and they started to took interviews of immigrants. I waited ,waited ,waited.....i waited from 8:20 to 12. This was so dammm boring and horrible. So keep in my that you need to wait 3-4 hrs. During my waiting i watched that 3-4 people were given the 221g form. Some of them have problem with photos requirements, sponsor problems and all. Finally after long waiting i was called at 12:20 on the same window-9.
I entered in the cabin and i seen that the american CO lady & the same pre-screener indian lady was there. The young CO lady was so gorgeous & hot.I greeted her & she also greeted me with smile. Then she told me to take swear so i put my right hand up and i said the same thing that i swear that whatever i will say will be true. Then she has given me the DS-230 form to sign it and i signed it and returned it.After that she started to ask me the following questions.
~How did you meet her?
~How did you know her aunt(as i said we met through her aunt)?
~Where did you meet first time?
~Where does she live in the USA?
~How long has your wife been in USA?
~Have you ever been in the USA?
~What does she do?
~How long she has been working there?
~How many siblings does she has?
~When did you get married?
~Do you have any album or picks of wedding?
(I showed her 70% of the album)
~How many people attended the marriage?
~Did you go for a honeymoon?
~Where did you go?
~What is your wife’s education qualification?
After that she was looking in some documents and typing in PC.After that she told me the golden words... "YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED AND YOU WILL GET YOUR PASSPORT WITHIN 3-4 DAYS". I asked her that can i collect it from vfs counter collection , she told me that yes you can check it at vfs at 5pm. Then i said thank u so much & have a nice day.
I was out of the consulate by 12:30. Then at 5pm i went to VFS to collect my passport & yellow envelope. You can collect it by 5 to 5:30. You need to show them VFS receipt & any original ID or your passport xerox. Finally i got my passport & envelope.
I hope this will be helpful ,i wish you a very good luck and just go with positive energy.
Thanks

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
