Case was expedited at USCIS and NVC due to the fact that Ian is active duty USAF.
My visa was unofficially approved at my interview, but the USEM required we send in a joint sponsor package. When the package was received in the embassy, I got verbal confirmation that the visa was being prepared and will be sent to me. |

Once I got pass customs, I wend to the immigration officers. One gentleman pulled me to a side room, checked through my paperwork, took my fingerprints and I was free to go in about 5 minutes. No harassment, no troubles at all! |

Embassy Review : |
My interview was scheduled for 2pm on Oct 21st 2010. Got there a little early so I had to wait on the other side of the street. At 2pm they let me in, went tru security (really nice guyz), left my phone and walked down the stony lane to the consular section. I waited for about 20 minz before a Bulgarian lady called me to window 5. She checked my documents and said we needed a joint sponsor package (even tho we had provided all the info necessary and hubby had enough income). She was the only one who was a little bit rude with me (still in a polite way tho.. )Nevertheless, she said I will have my interview today. She then gave me my original civil documents back and told me to wait. So I waited for about an hour and then I was called at window 7 to have my interview with the consul. She was really nice and polite, asked me simple questions: Where we met? How many times he has visited? Where was our wedding? When do I plan to leave for the USA? Then she asked a few questions about who were the ppl on the photos that I submitted and said that from her part everything is OK and once they receive the joint sponsor package, they will issue my visa. Kept my passport and medical too. We sent the package 3 days later and it was there in 4 days. When I called them, they said my visa is being prepared and they will send it as soon as possible (2 days)...
Everybody was nice and polite and overall I waited only a couple of hrs. Good luck to everybody! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
