Left extra early not to get stuck in montreal traffic which we did when going to medicals.. parked the car not even a block away from the consulate.
Waited for about an hour before they opened the door, he asked for the consulate letter and passports then let my son and i go inside.
Took off personal belongings put them in tray etc.. for security then headed downstairs to wait for another security guard to bring us upstairs.
Was led to cubby hole 14 to receive my number. C3 sat down and waited. The little play section is smart thinking my son didnt even have time to get bored while waiting.
Was then called to cubby number 11 to show consulate letters passports, and take fingerprints.
Was sent back to waiting room and not even 5 minutes later was called to number 12 to give in all the other paperwork.
was sent to go pay at cubby 14 then to come back and give the woman the receipt.
Went to sit in the waiting area for another 5 minutes and then was called to botth 7 which was more private than the others.
The woman was blonde forgot to ask her name, was very friendly asking me how we met, where ill be going staying, she askedme to indicate wher eon the court papers it says i have authorisation to bring my son and just small talk really.
She definetly made it very easy and it didnt seem like an interview at all.
Within of minutes we were accepted and on our way to burger king to meet my dad.
** note to self if you drink form the water fountain be careful it sprits up very high ... my son ended up getting it all up his nose
Was in and out within of an hour. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
