Event Description

Embassy Review : The best experience we've had with immigration officials, to date.

The only frustration was receiving the notice in December listing a number of items we should bring to the January interview, a number of which was never asked for.

But, that aside: Had the nicest Immigration Officer who was professional, courteous, and straight-forward. Asked us to swear to tell the truth. Asked my husband his name, address, and all of the Yes/No q's on the I-485. Confirmed where I work; if we are renting or owning our townhome; asked us how we met; when and where we got married; asked if we'd like to show any pictures - we had ALOT and decided to show 10 that we had pre-selected and printed on a Microsoft Word document with captions of who/what/where/when for each pic (a combo of wedding pics; dinner/lunch outings with friends/colleagues; holidays at my parents house, etc.).

My advice:
Get there early to find a good parking spot. We got there an hour+ before to find parking and parked at a Parking Garage at the corner of Clay and Battery.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
