Comments : A bit of advice. If you think you are in trouble, get hold of a good/reputed immigration lawyer/attorney asap. IT works. Atleast worked for me!!

Embassy Review : hi all,

My CR-1 interview was on 14 may at US embassy, london. I had my medical done well in advance (3 weeks) so that there was ample time for the results to reach the embassy. I prepared/arranged all the documents which were mainly the interview letter, wedding pics, email's, all the correspondence letters that we have recieved since the start of the case, my bank statements, utility bills, employment proof and other similar stuffs.
Since I live in london so it wasnt a real hassle to commute as I knew the area well and reached the embassy well in advance by Tube.
Went inside the embassy, was handed a token number and was seated in a room full of people like me.
When my token number became current, went to the window and the guy asked me my passport. he handed me my medical result and took my fingerprints. Asked me to take the seat. I was again called and this time oo-la-laa two young ladies took my interview. They asked where my wife lived, what she does, when was i planning to move and what am I gonna do there. Then she asked me about the CV !!
Holy Shit!! I forgot to bring my CV...... she handed me a blue paper saying my
case is now in AP and I have to fax my CV to the embassy. THAT's IT.
I wanted to cry so hard that the heaven weeps!! I was such a massive fool to forget my CV. Anyways, I left the embassy and faxed my CV the same day.
Waited for almost 2 months and then finally they rang me and said they have finished processing the case and my passport would be returned. HURAAAyyyyyyyyyyyy.
that was my case. What i learned from my experience:
1. If u think your case is bit complecated donot hesitate to take advise of a legal immigrant expert/lawyer/attorney. IT really works!! atleast worked for me!
