The interview was the two day process. First day: drop off docs and get questioned - lasted about 15 minutes. Second day, show photos, IM's, Emails, Letters, Skype Logs, Engagement Announcement, asks many questions - and then....THE PINK!!! |

Waited two hours for a ten minute interview. Never asked to look at any of the documents that I brought, only asked: Who was the first President of USA? And, Who is the Speaker of the House? Real easy. |

My fiance's interview experience was great, because she got the PINK.
The first day when she dropped off the various documents, she got questioned a lot. With each document that she provided, she would be asked questions like: Where did you meet? How old is your fiance? Why are you submitting a co-sponsor? Who is your co-sponsor? Where are you from? What do you do for work now? Have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?
I had submitted a co-sponsor because in February of this year, about the same time that we got our NOA2, I found out that I had a tax lien from the IRS on me for back taxes. I addressed this problem by not only including a co-sponsor, but I also hired a tax consultant - http://www.ameritax.com/home I explained my situation and in record time, they were able to secure a structured settlement with the IRS and also have the lien pulled off of me. These documents were included in my support papers that were submitted on the first day of thte interview process. I had also included two years of tax returns for myself and one year of tax returns for my co sponsor. My fiance was told when she submitted these forms that I should have included 3 years of tax returns for each of us.
On the second day May went in for her interview, she was asked many of the same questions from the day before. Also, she was asked to provide the IM, SKYPE, and email logs. She was asked if I speak Chinese and she said that I am an expert with saying "Knee How", which made the VO officer laugh. She was also asked what things do we have in common and she answered that we both like to travel, watch movies, cook, read books. At this point, he asked her to wait there and he left for 5 minutes. When he came back he asked her to name a book that I had read or liked. She told him that she could not remember the names of any books. And he replied: Are you sure? Can't you name just one book?
And she said: Well he left me several books at my house, but I just can't remember any of their names. Then he responded: Well, it's ok. You are approved.
Joining this site, I feel was critical to our successful approval. The links and knowledge available here (for free?!@) is just terrific.
I had also hired: http://www.fianceevisaservices.com/ to help put our application together and they did a fantastic job.
May told me that she was asked many questions over her two day experience and 99% of the questions she was asked, were from the bank of questions we had been practicing on for the last two months. I have listed below our practice questions and I hope these help other people going through this process.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
