Embassy Review : |
We arrived at noon for a 12:30 interview - the office was quite busy. The gentlemen supervising the metal detector were kind and welcoming. We were asked to drop our interview letter off at window 8 in the basket, face down. And then we wait!
In the waiting room there were approx. 15 different groups/couples waiting as well - many with lawyers present.
At about 12:45, a male officer invited us back for our interview. He was very kind, yet business like. He swore us in, reviewed our application with us to make sure biographical information was correct, he asked the "yes/no" questions, and then he asked to see our evidence. We had extensive financial and "on paper" evidence, but at the last minute I decided to bring in some family photo albums and I was glad that I did - the Office enjoyed looking at the photos. He asked us how we met and how long we have lived together. He told us "You made this a very easy approval" - then printed out a letter stating we would receive the Greencard in 2-3 weeks. A very, very pleasant experience with a kind, professional officer. Overall, took about 30 minutes from when he called us back to printing out the approval letter. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
