Event Description
Review Date : September 21, 2010
Embassy Review : Firstly Sorry for the Delay in Review.

We had our Interview on 3rd of Sep @ 8:30AM in Chennai.
We stayed at the Rain Tree hotel on Anna Salai, about 3-4 KMs Away from the Embassy any auto would drop you at the embassy for Rs20 – 30.
We reached embassy at 8:10 and were immediately asked to stand in a Line outside the building by the security guard, security guards make groups of people (in a line) outside the embassy to make the security check and entry into the building easy.
Please make sure you have no Luggage/Handbags.. Only allowed items into the embassy are file or papers or Albums (no DVD’s Cell phones etc).
At 8:25AM they asked my wife get into the building (security female checked all papers etc etc).
Once into the building she was asked to be seated in a separate hall(Separate from H1 visa etc), at around 9:10AM an Indian lady called her name and checked all the papers and asked her to wait for the CO to call out her name.
CO was a Nice American guy asked lots of questions.. He called out my wife’s name at 9:40AM
1) When did you get married?
2) Arranged or Love ( It Was Arranged)
3) Who took the proposal. ( Brides parents)
4) How did your guys find the groom. ( From Newspaper Ad)
5) Where does your husband live. ( xxxxxx, NJ)
6) Where does he work (xxxxx , NJ)
7) How many siblings?
8) Where do you live in India? (with my Inlaws, visit parents on weekends)
9) Where is your husband now? (Outside waiting for me)
10) If approved when do you plan to go to US ? ( We have Eid on 10th or 11th after EID)
11) Co Says …. Don’t want to keep you away from your husband we are done. Go out he is waiting for you.
12) My wife asked “ Visa?” ( CO said … U can go back to US With your husband  ), pay this courier fee. 
13) --- 9:53 AM wife outside the embassy and we head to the VFS to pay the fee.

09/19/2010 Mir & Naaz enter US at JFK, no issues at the Immigration.

--- Thanks to all VJ'ers for sharing Info and making this Journey Easy.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
