Embassy Review : |
The intervew was scheduled for Feb. 11 @ 8:30 am. We stayed nearby at the Four Seasons Hotel. It was nice and about a 15 min drive.
We arrived at the embassy at 8:25, there was a very long line but we went right up to the ladies with clipboards, they took his appointment letter, passport and forms. They put the forms in order and reviewed my passport. We then went through security, just like when you are at the airport.
We proceeded to the building where we were given a #. We waited about 40 min until our # was called. We went up to the window and the lady put the papers in a different order and again reviewed his passport. She directed us to go and have his fingerprints taken. The wait for that was about 5 min and the actually fingerprinting took a couple of minutes, I stood there with him while he did this.
We then went back to the sitting area and waited for our # to be called again. This took about 40 min also. Our # was called and we both went up. The man asked if I was his Fiancee and we were sworn in. The intervewer then asked me to take a seat and would call me when I was needed. He asked my fiance to write my name and then pick up the phone. He asked him how, where and when we met. What do I do and where do I work. When did I come back and how do we communicate. He then flipped through some of my cell phone bills, western union receipts and our photo album. After seeing our second picture kissing, he said you are good, you are approved.
And then we went to DHL. They never questioned me. We were done at about 10:50. Overall, it was a good experience, everyonewas pretty nice. Be confident, bring evidence and try to relax!! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
