Approved!!!!!
We flew into El Paso Sunday. Outside were plenty of cabs which all charge the same rate to the hotels in Juarez $60 an extra $5 because my fiance had to stop at customs to drop of his I-94 form. Our cab driver George was the best and I highly recommend him(United Independent Cab 915-590-8294) He gave us a lot of background about the city, how to stay safe, info about what time we should go to the medical, even took us to show us the consulate even though it was past our hotel. He gave us his card with his personal cell #915-274-4511 and said to give him a call when we cross the border
Stayed at La Quinta Inn, not as close as the Holiday Inn to the consulate but it was $10 cheapier a night through Orbitz. The hotel includes hot breakfast every morning, fridge and microwave in every room and they offer a free shuttle everywhere you need to go including the border. Hotel was nice and would recommend.
Went to medical at 6:15am, went to the first building which was full so we walked next door to the other medical building. There is a waiting area in which you can see when your SO gets called back, my fiance was #56. He came out around 9:30. I was allowed to go inside to pay with my credit card, total $184. Was told to come back at 5pm for results which we did, no problems. However a few things to mention something a little different but based on the outcome no complaints of course. My fiance knew about the exam process and was well prepared however he was examed by a woman,he said he did not see if any women were examed by men. She asked about his 3 tattoos, asked if he had done drugs and that was it. My fiance said he could hear other people answering other doctors questions and said 7 out of 10 who had tattoos had to go to the psychologist. Went across the street to Banamex paid $145 cash.
Got to consulate about 7:45am, many people already in line, my fiance got in within 5 minutes. I waited outside with everyone else in a common area with a few eating locations directly next to the consulate. Did not feel uncomfotable waiting by myself. Fiance came out around 11am and was approved! He had to go back in because he forgot the hotel phone # which you need for DHL so don't forget it or you have to wait in line to get back inside. They asked him when and where we met, asked about his 2 sons that live in another country. He said the woman was pretty rude, asked to see our pictures and said it wasnt enough. He gave her a family calendar my grandmother makes every year with lots of photos, he asked if she wanted a letter my grandmother had wrote, she said no. She then said "why did you do this visa, you know you have to now go through more interviews and can not work or be a permaneant resident for 2 years, are you sure you are not already married?" My fiance said no, she said " you can tell me if you did because if you didn't get married in a church it doesn't count" He said no I think I would remember. She then said ok you are approved. Not sure why she lied to him saying he can't file until after 2 years. Also I put all the papers in dividers and labeled them which I recommend. When the guy asked him for his paper my fiance said which one and the guy(Mexican)said "so you didn't read the instructions:, my fiance just gave him the DS-156K and the guys response was "oh you did read the instructions"
DHL started updating the website around 3 pm, picked up his package around 5. Checked out from the hotel as soon as we got back and had then drive us to the border. We had paid for another night but our flight was for 3pm Friday and did not want to take a chance on getting hung up at the border. Got there about 6:15 and was done at 8pm. Called George who was there in 15 minutes, stayed at the Days Inn in El Paso(free airport shuttle) cab cost $22.
No complaints given the circumstances

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
