The interview was a breeze for my wife. They didn't ask her many questions. They looked at our emails and chats. The CO asked for a bank statement which I forgot to send at NVC stage so we didn't have one. I thought my income was enough with new job, but the CO wanted a bank statement so the CO gave her a green slip which meant it was missing that piece. I went to the bank quickly and got a bank letter and sent it to her. Exactly after 5 business days, my wife got her visa =) Thank You to the VJ family for helping us through this hard journey. I want to thank especially sachinky who was so helpful through it all. I wish the rest of the VJ family best wishes and Goodluck through the journey =) |

Embassy Review : |
My wife had her interview on June 22, 2010. She woke up early at like 6 a.m. Turkish time. She got ready and went to the Ankara US embassy at like 7:30 a.m. She said she was the first one to be there. Her appointment was at about 8:30 a.m. She said more and more people started to come and it got really crowded. Finally the embassy opened at around 8 a.m. and started to let all the people in. Than they separated the people for what kind of visa and what time they had their appointments. My wife said she just waited and waited because it was a lot of people who had interviews that day. Finally at 11:30 a.m. she was called for the interview. She didn't tell me when they called her for pre-screening and such so I don't remember that, haha. They lady asked her how we met and when we met. She didn't ask anything else. The CO wrote something on the computer than asked for our 2009 tax returns which I sent to her again. Glad I did send another copy! The CO looked at it and than asked for bank statement which I didn't send. I didn't think I would need it because with my new job, the income was good. Plus I didn't ask the VJ family about it. Well they told her that she is approved, but they need 15k in funds more. That is what the CO told her and said it doesn't matter how the funds come in the bank account. The CO said they just want to see it so they can issue the visa. So they gave her the green slip stating what was missing. Of course when she called me in the morning I was heart broken because I couldn't sleep all night and wanted to hear the good news. It was good news because that is all that we were missing. My wife said the CO was very nice and everyone else as well. They were in a hurry at the end because it was time for lunch or something that is what my wife said. So overall it was pretty good interview. Ankara embassy seems good. Thank You all VJ family for helping us get through this hard process. Without the help of the VJ family and this website, we would be quite lost. Thank You from the bottom of my heart |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
