I believe we did not encounter any issues at ORD. Husband's mother came with to visit and she was able to go through processing with him. He had to wait around a little bit, and got yelled at for using a cell phone. It took maybe an hour longer than expected. I was waiting in the parking lot a LONG time.

Consulate Review: Tokyo, Japan Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Event Description Review Date : June 21, 2010 Embassy Review : Arrived about one hour early. Interview was early morning. All the people at the embassy were friendly and nice. Nothing to complain about and everything was fine. The embassy was not too crowded or busy that day. The whole thing took about one and a half hours. The questions asked were not too hard or complex. The interviewer did not ask for any evidence at all. Good experience.
