Everything went pretty smooth. My finace came with me. Got there Dec 7th at 8am..no line at all...got my Number and went in through the security system into the main Building.
Waited like 15 min and got called to window 23..the Lady asked for my passport and a picture, she gave me a paper that explained how to order my documents then she asked us to wait until our # gets called again.
another 15 min later we got called to another window. The guy there took my documents and explaned how the process is going to be after port of entry, all about the AOS etc...
I had to sign the DS 156k and write Name and Address on an Envelope and put Stamps on it. He was really nice.
We sat down again and not even 5 min after that we got called to the next window where an consulate officer did the Interview. It was in English so my fiance could understand what we were talking.
She asked where and when we met, where my fiance is from, how long we have been engaged, stuff about his family, when the Wedding will be and how often he has been in Germany.
She took my Fingerprints said everything looks just fine and I just have to go to the medical exam and I can expect the Visa next week |

Really, really easy.. I waited in the line for maybe 15 minutes...our plane was late and there wasn't a really long line.
When I was called the officer asked for my passport and i handed her the big brown envelope...
She looked though it and asked some questions (whats your fiances name, how long have you known each other, do you have kids)
she took my fingerprints and a picture, stamped and signed the papers and my passport.
Then she just explaned that we have to get married within 90 days and that was about it.
After about 30 min I was done!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
