Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 27, 2010
Embassy Review : No problems in at 8:30 out by 11:45 but was told it was a quiet day.

Make sure that you are prepared so you are not scrambling round for papers at the window as they seem to hate that. the lady at the first window was very slow and then got a little exhasperated with me when I was getting the docs out to pass her even though I was as prepared as I possibly could be.

The actually consolate officer who said yes or no (yes in my case) was lovely though.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Atlanta
Event Description
Entry Date : 2010-07-02
Embassy Review : i would advise that if you are flying on from Atlanta then to leave a minimum of 4 hrs between flights as it took me 2 hrs to get through Immigration, Customs and to collect and recheck my luggage.

The actual POE experience was pretty easy. Went to the border patrol booths as usual. The lady behind the desk took my finger prints, took a picture of me, put my visa "do not open" envelope along with my passport in a see through folder with a green trim and had me escorted to a room to the right hand side of the booths. I was third in line, waited for about 15 mins and was called over. The man behind the desk had my open folder in front of him, asked me what I was here for, my fiances name and how long I had known him for and when we planned to get married. He then asked me to sit back down. I sat down for about 10 more mins as he typed a few things into his computer and stamped some of my documents and my passport then he called me back over. He said all was fine, gave me a sheet of paper telling me what I had to do to adjust status and told me I must marry within 90 days. He then sent me on my way.

All in all a good experience.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
