Call NVC today, November 9th, 2009, our petition was forwarded to Casa on November 5th, 2009. They did not have an interview date; they said the embassy would set it. Casa has received our petition electronically, but not the hard copy. I checked through DHL and it says that our petition was delivered today, November 9th, 2009 at 4:16 pm!!
Received e-mail from Consulate per request on November 16th, 2009. Packet was sent and interview set for January 19th, 2010.
My fiance told me today, November 25th, 2009, that he received packet 3 and will pick it up tomorrow. |

Bijad said the interview went really well; they were very kind to him.
Here is an outline of how his interview went...
First a Moroccan woman called Bijad up to the window and asked for his forms, the translated papers and the visa fee. She said something about his “wife” and he immediately corrected her and said she is still only my fiancée.
About 10 minutes later an American man called him up to the window and asked him to write my name and his name on it and took his fingerprints.
He asked Bijad, where is Missouri located on the map? (The man said that you wouldn’t guess how many people don’t actually know where they are going. Ha!)
Describe your fiancée.
He asked for pictures of our engagement party.
While looking at our pictures the interviewer said, “Wow, your fiancée has wonderful blue eyes.” HAHA!!
He asked Bijad to tell him something about my past.
How did you meet her?
Why didn’t you marry a Moroccan girl?
The interviewer asked about some of the people in our pictures.
Asked about Bijad’s job.
Where did we spend time together?
How can you be sure about your love to her?
What do you have in common?
Then the interviewer said, “Everything is ok and your application will take some regular procedures.” They kept his passport and they said they would give him a call. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
