Most frustrating component to date has been TRYING to communicate with the Colombian Consulate in Toronto, who NEVER answer the phone, return messages or emails!! |

Sept 4 - still no word: no RFE, no appointment... Perhaps because they only come to Fairbanks every couple of months? (We are an hour from Fairbanks and 6-8 hours from Anchorage.)
Nov 16 - Said we were approved at the interview (very simple interview) - now waiting for the card. No RFE's.... yet! |

Still waiting... My biometrics on Aug 9/11 was obviously NOT entered to count for EAD as I got another appointment notice for biometrics on Nov 16/11. Will likely get my greencard before my EAD now. |

Electronic notice of approval but, as of Sept 4, still waiting on the paper...
Biometrics Aug 9/11 for AP was NOT entered for AOS and EAD as I was told it would be!? I got a notice to do biometrics for those (apt) on Nov 16/11.
Nov. 25/11 - STILL no AP document! |

Hi...
My interview was on Tuesday, Nov. 9th and my medical was the next day. This was not a problem, just meant a trip back to the consulate to drop things off.
I found both the interview and the medical to be a lot more of the "hurry up and wait" that we have all come to love so much!
For me the most stressful part was simply getting all my documents out and praying I had everything as they wanted. I was missing and ORIGINAL of my Divorce certificate which had me really ticked with myself but was an easy enough fix as I simply ordered another copy for $20. It did mean that I won't get my visa for another week but no extra trip or interview or "review process."
The interview itself was good. The interviewer was very pleasant, even a little chatty so I felt at ease.
I am so relieved it is over. On to planning for the next immigration hurdle.
If you are needing a place to stay, I would recommend staying at the Days Inn. It is likely one of the cheaper hotels in the area and it is only a couple blocks from the consulate and maybe 10 blocks from the Woking Clinic. Get off at Burrard Station and walk downhill toward W Pender. If you are flying into Vancouver, the sky train now goes tight out to the airport so it is super easy to get downtown from there.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
