Embassy Review : |
My interview was scheduled at 1pm. I arrived a little ealier, around 12:45pm.
I was called at the first booth : A man took my convocation letter and checked my passport.
At the second booth: A lady took all of my documents, my passport and the Chronopost envelope. She also took my fingerprints. She asked me some questions:
"- When did you meet?
- What does your fiance do for living?
- What do you do for living?
- When do you plan on getting married?
- Are my parents coming to the wedding?
- Have you met his family?
[...]"
She didn't ask for any extra proof of ongoing relationship. She told me how lucky I am because I'll live in a ski area (my fiancé lives in Vail, Colorado). She explained the process, what we have to do after we get married. She told me about the AoS, the Social Security Card, about having to leave France in less then 6 month, getting married in 90 days,... She said if everything goes well I should receive the visa in about 8 days.
At the last booth: An other lady asked me "What does your fiance do for living", "What do you do for living". She asked me to read and sign some paper. She congratulated me for the wedding and said goodbye.
When I got oustide the Embassy, it was 2:30pm. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
