EAD and AP both approved, but only EAD received. Called USCIS and got generic, scripted answers. Was told to call back after 30 days. |

Embassy Review : |
My fiancee's interview was September 27th@715am. Ellen had to fly to Guangzhou on September 23rd so she could find a bank, pay visa fee and have her medical exam. She rest at hotel for two days and prepared for the interview.
She arrive at embassy at 6am and alot of people were already waiting outside the embassy. She found a restaurant and had breakfast, then got back in line. The embassy started to let people in at 715am. She then went to the 4th floor and got in line again. When she got called to the window, they checked her P4 papers and medical papers and took her fingerprints. She said she waited for about 2 1/2 hours before she was called to Window 26. She said there were all american CO's at each window. While she was waiting, she could see what slip others were getting.
She saw alot people get White and Blue slips, but she did not get worried. She got called at 1050am to window 26 with an american lady who greeted her in chinese. She saw that Ellen can speak english so interview was in english. Here are the questions she said the CO asked her:
-Have you been to USA before?
-When were you in USA?
-Who applied for visa for you?
-How did you meet your fiancee?
-Which website did you meet on?
-What date did we first chat?
-How many times did we meet in person?
-What date did we first meet?
-How did we communicate?
Ellen showed her emails and chatlogs from Yahoo
-Did he send you money?
Ellen showed her Western union slips and ATM receipts
CO asked to see pictures; Ellen showed her several pics from USA and from China when I visited
CO asked which were taken in US and which were from China
CO asked when we will marry and she said when she arrives in US we will plan wedding.
CO said visa APPROVED.
Interview was over by 11am
Worst part of the whole process was the long, long wait for NOA2 (98 days) and the DHL 'Clearance Delay' in GUZ (about 7 days).
Overall, not a bad experience. Glad it is over. Now, on to the AOS process.
Good luck and thanks to all on VJ for your advise and assistance

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
